Completion of the work within the set time ensures that the company will be able to progress and will sustain in the market. The essay is developed in relation with developing effective business communication which will provides a direction to the organization with the help of which it will be able to resolve its issues related with the communication. For the organizations working in competitive it has become important that they should work towards to make the communication sy stem more effective with the help of which they could maintain the internal decorum of the business. For company example Mc Donalds is being taken in which internal communication system of the organization will be explained. Reason behind choosing Mc Donalds is that in this organization one of the most important aspects is the coordination and communication among the staff members working in the organization. Diagnosis and Reflection Mc Donalds is a fast food chain which is delivering its magnificent services across the globe. The organization was found in 1940 as a barbecue restaurant operated by Richard and Maurice Mc Donald. Presently the organization is serving approximately in 36,900, for such type of organization it is required that it should maintain the effective flow of communication and should ensure that all the employees should work in a systematic manner (Choren, 2015). In Mc Donalds I have seen that a chain of communication is being followed like when we place the order at the order counter then an individual receives the order who then provide the information to the another person who place the order at the kitchen area. Although a systematic online order system continues to work at the restaurant but for double assurance a direct communication system is being followed by the employees working at the workplace (Paliwal, Wjcicki, Shannon, 2011). I have visited the Mc Donalds for internal survey and to gather appropriate information related with the communication system that is being followed at the workplace (Paramasivam, 2007). In the information that is being gathered I have evaluated that the organization is facing the issues with internal communication system in which organization is working to manage. There are certain diagnostic tools that were applied by me at Mc Donalds so as to gather appropriate information related with the communication issues which were faced by the organization. Diagnostic tools such as Johari Window Model, Communication Style Questionnaire, Assertiveness Questionnaire, Interview method, and gathering the information from the employees working at the workplace are being used by me. These models have provided me set direction to gather information related with the communication issues faced by the organization and evaluate all the aspects which will help in availing the direction to Mc Donalds so that company could develop effective set of strategies in relation with removing all the communication issues and could maintain the internal decorum of the workplace (Pazur, Michalak, Szelmanowski, 2010). Johari Window is the model which is being used so as to enhance the perception of individual on others (Peate, 2010). This is the model which is based on two ideas which are trust is one of the factor which could be revealed by the information of you to others and establishing the learning about yourself from the feedback that will be provided by others. Johari Window helps in explaining the fact about the aspects which are known by one and the aspects which are not known. The facts which are known were kept in the open area or arena, the facts which are not known to others comes under hidden area or faade, facts which are known to one self are kept in blind spot and various other facts which are not known to oneself and are also not known to others remains unknown (Pournasir, 2013). After gathering information related with Johari Window and aspects attached with it two questionnaires were developed one was communication style questionnaire and assertiveness questionnaire. The assertiveness questionnaire includes the questions related with the opinions, thoughts, needs, and feelings in the direct, honest as well as appropriate way (Shen, Xu, Staples, Bolstad, 2013). The aim of developing the questionnaire was to gather the information related with the employees feelings and various other aspects related with the workplace. The assertiveness helped in gathering the information related with the issues that employees face while working in Mc Donalds with the help of which evaluation of fact was done by me regarding the communication issues and making the decisions related with developing the strategies in resolving the issues of the employees working in Mc Donalds (Tarim, 2014). The communication style questionnaire helped in gathering the information related with the communication style which is being preferred by the employees with the help of which they will be able to sustain and communicate effectively with their colleagues. These two questionnaires will help in developing the understanding with the mentality that the employees have. These questionnaires will also help in gathering relevant set of information related with the employees and their perceptions related with the communication system at the workplace (Vangelisti, 2016). Feedbacks from the employees were taken and with the help of the interview method information from all the employees related with the internal communication system of Mc Donalds was gathered. With the help of this method there were certain set of issues which came into existence evaluating which helped in developing appropriate set of strategies with which the issues will be resolved and a support will be provided to the organization to overcome from the issues (Wilson, Seymour, 2017). Literature Review Communication is one of the most important aspects attached with any organization with the effect of which work process of the workplace could be managed in a proper way (Baraldi, 2017). Communication provides a set framework to the employees and ensures that the systematic order could be developed so as to complete the work and develop appropriate set of information system. With the help of diagnostic tools there are certain set of issues which were being diagnosed. For Mc Donalds it is required that the organization should work towards to resolve all set of issues which could affect the company. Diagnosis helped in evaluating various set of aspects which are affecting the mindset of the employees helped in analyzing the ways with the effect of which these issues could get resolved (Chaloupka-Risser, Fssl, 2017). With the help of information gathered from the employee it was evaluated from past 4 years they are facing challenges in managing the work as employees who are managing the billing counters faces issues in interacting with the customers (De Waele, Claeys, Cauberghe, 2017). With the change in time mentality of the people is also changing and also the way of living is also changing. Now a day people want that the person with whom they are interacting should provide appropriate feedback and should help in managing the order. It was evaluated by me that the employees of Mc Donalds managing the billing counters face issues in providing proper set of information related with the products and services which are being delivered by the organization. With the help of the diagnostic tools applied at Mc Donalds it was analyzed that proper set of training was not being provided to the employees due to which they faced issues in developing the interpersonal skills (Dubinskiy, 2017). With the help of diagnosis tool another issue which was analyzed was that employees were not being delivered all set of information related with the work they have to do and the process that is to be managed by them (Engstrm, Stehn, 2016). At the workplace it was analyzed that employees working at the executive level prefers to decide which work will be done by who as the support from the managerial level is not being provided to the employees. With the help of the diagnosis it was being evaluated that no meetings were being organized so as to explain the roles and responsibilities of the employees that who is suppose to do which work and who will be managing what work (Freytag, Rauscher, 2017). Hence, with the help of the discussion related with the communication issues that are being faced by the employees working at Mc Donalds it could be analysed that effective set of communication strategies are required to be discussed at the workplace so that employees could ensure to manage the work effectively as well as can interact appropriately with the customers working at the workplace (Gen, 2017). There are various strategies which could be adopted by Mc Donalds so as to overcome from the barriers of the communication which are affecting the mindset of the customers as well as employees working at the workplace. Some of the strategies which could be adopted by Mc Donalds so as to resolve the issues are: Training is one of the most effective strategies that helps in developing the interpersonal skills of the people working at the workplace (Ismail, Husen, 2013). It is required that proper set of training related with what type of treatment should be provided to the customers coming at the workplace should be provided. Training will help in ensuring that the employees have the effective set of information related with the workplace and the products and services which are availed by the organization to the people (Johnson, LaBelle, Waldeck, 2016). Training will also help in developing confidence among the employees in resolving their queries and will ensure to provide a better set of support in managing the work in an appropriate manner. Another aspect that will help in resolving the communication issue as Mc Donalds is daily meetings (Lievens, 2013). It is necessary that the management should try to interact with the employees and should provide the information related with the roles and responsibility that each individual shares. It is required that the management should organize the daily meetings in which information related with the progress report of each and every individual should be gathered. This will help in developing a healthy interaction with the employees with the effect of which work will be managed in a more appropriate as well as effective manner (Paliwal, Wjcicki, Shannon, 2011). Teambuilding activities is another aspect which should be taken into consideration by Mc Donald so as to ensure that the employees working at the workplace should interact effectively with each other (Paramasivam, 2007). It is required that the proper team should be developed and work should be bifurcated accordingly among each of the team. Such type of activity will help in developing effective set of coordination among the employee with the help of which they will be able to manage the work effectively (Pazur, Michalak, Szelmanowski, 2010). There are certain other aspects which will provide better set of help in developing effective communication system at the workplace, aspects like organizing fun activities, official parties and cultural activities will help the employees in building effective relationship with each other and will provide better support to resolve each and every activity. It is necessary that management should remain attached with the employees and should provide freedom to the employee to provide suggestions and participate in the decision making aspects so that internal decorum of the workplace could be maintained (Peate, 2010). Making the communication system more effective should be kept on priority by the organizations so that employees as well as work at the workplace could be managed in a proper way. Working towards to motivating the employees and applying Maslows Theory of Motivation will help Mc Donalds to develop more effective communication system. Relationship theory is another theory which will help the organization in providing sustainability and will ensure to develop positive bonding with the employees with the effect of which they will work more effectively as well as efficiently and will help in maintaining the internal decorum of the business (Pournasir, 2013). It will help in the decision making aspects (Shen, Xu, Staples, Bolstad, 2013). 2 Evaluating the actual Condition of the workplace 31 Days 1 May 2017 31 May 2017 This is the process of 1 month in which one on one discussion will help with each and every employee working in Mc Donalds as well as information will be gathered with the help of the responses from the questionnaires. 2.1 One on one discussion with each and every employee 16 Days 1 May 2017 16 May 2017 One on one discussion will be organized between the manager and the employee so as to as to gather information related with the issues faced by the employees at the workplace. 2,2 Taking responses with the help of questionnaires and analyzing them 15 Days 16 May 2017 31 May 2017 A questionnaire will be developed by the management in which questions related with certain good aspects of the workplace as well as certain bad aspects of the organization will be provided and on behalf of the responses of the employees strategies will be developed so as to resolve the issues of employees (Tarim, 2014). 3. Analysis of the responses and evaluation of the key strategies 30 Days 1 June 2017 30 June 2017 Analysis as well as comparison of the responses will be done. The analyzed report will be sent to the upper level management for briefing which will include the key issues faced by the employees at the workplace and plans will be made to resolve the strategies of the workforce. 4. Training 91 Days 1 July 2017 31 July 2017 Training will be provided to each and every employee for 3 months. Yes it I hard to manage the training for 3 months but these 3 month training will include direct interaction with the customers and handling the orders but it will be done under the supervisor so as appropriate guidance could be provided on the spot (Vangelisti, 2016). 5. Fun Activities/cultural activities/ quiz/ etc 31 Days 1 Aug 2017 31 Aug 2017 Without hampering the work it is required that fun activities should be organized and it is necessary that the employees should be provided set of motivation to participate in these activities. Such type of activities will help in refreshing the employees and remaining happy at the workplace. The fun activity should be organized on every Friday of the weak for the whole month so that employees could enjoy their working. 6. Daily Meetings 183 Days 1 May 2017 31 Aug 2017 In this whole time period it is required that a 15 min daily meeting should be organized in which all the employees should remain present and discussion of the further process should be done.
